Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and - we’ll admit it - if we could eat it all the time, we would. There are so many delicious and nutritious options for breakfast that it can’t be contained to just the morning!
We packed this breakfast for lunch to let our creativity run wild. It’s great for kids to use their imagination, but it’s also fun for adults to create their own animals!
We love this healthy pancake recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction. These pancakes are made with whole wheat flour and oats, so they’re a great source of whole grains. Simply cut up some fresh strawberries, bananas and whatever other fruit you like. We also used blueberries and chocolate chips to make our bird, pig and bear pancakes!
Pack some pancakes and toppings to go in your kid’s bento box to let them get creative during their lunchtime at camp or school! Don’t forget the syrup (or peanut butter for a good source of protein) in their small lidded container!
With this lunch, we’re encouraging kids to have fun and play with their food. They’re sure to have the most popular lunch!
