The Whole30 diet can seem daunting at first with its restrictions, but you can still make delicious and filling meals! For those that have never heard of it, it’s 30-day diet that emphasizes whole foods and during which participants eliminate sugar, alcohol, grains, legumes, soy, and dairy from their diets.
This Whole30 approved bento box includes a yummy combination of the foods that are allowed, including meat, nuts, seeds, eggs, vegetables and fruits.
To make this bento box, start with a bed of lettuce. Top it with chicken salad made with homemade mayonnaise (make your own with this recipe). We also added in some red onion and red grapes for extra flavor.
Next, slice an apple and pair it with some almond butter. (Just check the ingredients label on your almond butter to make sure it’s Whole30 compliant!) Next, we sliced a hard-boiled egg for some extra protein.
In the last container, we placed some baby carrots and broccoli. Then we added in one of our favorite snacks- sweet potato fries! We used this recipe from Tessa Domestic Diva.
With just a few whole foods, you can create something delicious! How would you pack your Whole-30 approved bento box?
