Today is National Sandwich Day! Sandwiches are a staple in our bento boxes, as you can pack all different kinds of healthy ones in a pinch and they can cover all of the basic food groups. But packing one every day can get boring.
Today, we're getting creative with our sandwich-making in honor of this momentous holiday.
Here's how to make these sandwich kabobs:
Cut the whole wheat bread and cheese into small squares. Starting with a piece of bread, layer the skewer with your sandwich toppings. When adding the spinach, fold it into smaller pieces for easier layering.
Get creative with your sandwich toppings according to your preference. You could also try adding more veggies or deli meat!
We packed ours in our bento box with some fresh green beans, an apple, Fig Newtons and some of that leftover Halloween candy we know you've been munching on!
What would you put on your sandwich to celebrate National Sandwich Day?
