Tomorrow marks the start of the Olympic Winter Games! Before we tune into the opening ceremonies, we put together this Olympics-themed bento box to show our excitement and anticipation of the upcoming games.
The XXIII Olympic Winter Games will be held in PyeongChang, South Korea this year. We’re so excited to dive back into binge-watching all of the winter sports, including skiing, bobsleighing, curling, figure skating and so much more!
To make this Olympics themed bento box, start with some torch-shaped sandwiches. Cut thin triangles out of your choice of bread and fill with your favorite sandwich toppings. Then, cut squares of cheese to look like fire for the top of the torches. Use a cookie cutter to add in some cheese stars.
Next, make your gold medal out of Ritz crackers. Place the crackers in your bento divider and add in Twizzlers to make the ribbons. Use a cookie cutter to finish off your first place medal.
Show your excitement for the 2018 games with a small salad topped with hummus. Use number cookie cutters to spell out 2018- we cut them out of red bell peppers!
Our last container contains yogurt and, of course, we can’t forget the Olympic rings. Form the rings using a variety of fruit. For ours, we used blueberries, bananas, chocolate chips, green grapes and strawberries.
Which sport are you most excited to watch?
