Even though spring doesn’t start for a couple of weeks, the warmer weather has us feeling extra bright and cheery. Even if you can’t spend all day outside with your kids (like we wish we could), you can still bring some of that brightness to their lunch with this spring bento box!
To make the ladybugs, start with slices of mozzarella cheese. Use a cookie cutter to form the flowers for the ladybugs to rest on. Top it with some basil. Then, take a cherry tomato and slice about ¾ of the way from the top. Add half of a black olive for the head.
In one of the medium containers, we placed cubed watermelon and added in our nature food picks. In the other container, slice up some cucumbers and add baby carrots for a serving of veggies!
Lastly, we topped this spring bento box off with some crackers and hummus. Place a bright-colored napkin in the utensil slot for an extra pop. We packed it all in our owl bento box for a delicious and healthy on-the-go lunch!
